Your healthy smile depends on a few simple dental care habits. Here is a list of some steps you can take to promote great oral hygiene:

Visit your dentist regularly

Visit your dentist twice a year. A comprehensive exam will help detect problems even before becoming symptomatic.

The correct toothbrush

Soft-bristled toothbrushes are safer for your teeth. They clean your teeth without damaging your gum or the tooth enamel.

Brush your tongue

Clean the surface of your tongue daily, particularly on the rougher top surface. Bacteria can accumulate there and contribute to bad breath (halitosis) and negatively affect your dental health.

Use floss
